When you are in the "edit athlete" portion of the website (see: Edit Athletes) you access the individual athlete edit screen by clicking on the name of any athlete. It will look like this image, more or less:

Athlete Editor Screen

You can then edit the specific athlete by retyping the information (or typing over the information) that is displayed, or by adding additional information.

You are not limited to the fields given by default. In my example image you will see that there is an additional fields called Classification with options for Sprinter, Distance, Throws and Jumps. You can add additional fields by clicking on the "edit fields" link in the lower left corner of the screen.

As you type information, it is saved live in real time. There is no save or confirm button, so be a little cautious -- for example if you type over an athletes name and then don't know the correct spelling ... but you will find it very handy once you get going.

When done with an athlete you may use "next" or "previous" to go to the next athlete. To close the individual athlete edit window and return to the underlying team athlete edit screen, simply click on the escape button on the keyboard (esc).

If you have the same athlete listed twice in the team screen, access the less accurate name for that athlete in the individual athlete edit screen and change the name to match the more accurate name for that athlete. The two profiles will be merged, usually overnight. This often happens with shortened versions of athletes names, like Liz Jones and Elizabeth Jones.
