Anyone can help with this User Guide. Best Practices
Please keep these best practices in mind when helping out:

Keep Meta Info updated
- Don't hijack a page. If a page exists for editing athletes, don't rewrite it for uploading results. Create a new page.
- Feel free to use the Discuss function whenever a page needs attention.
- Leave comments when editing a page, so that moderators know what has been changed (see image to the right).
- VERY IMPORTANT Fill in the "Meta Keywords" and "Meta Description" for new pages, and edited pages. This will enable the search to work better.
- Tip Google Chrome doesn't work well for editing some pages.
Get started
- Create a user guide account if you don't have one (this is separate from your athletic.net account).
- Check your email for the account activation email.
- Login if you haven't already. Login
Create pages
If you see a feature of the site that isn't documented well, use the "Create a New Page" link in the side bar to create a page for the feature.
Once you've saved your instructions, the rest of us will be able to come in and work together to improve the help document.
Edit pages
Perhaps a help document could be written better, or is out of date. You have two options:
- If you feel competent to write better instructions, feel free to edit the page using the "Edit" function.
- If you prefer to let one of us update but still wish to offer direction, use the "Discuss" button to leave some comments about what is lacking on the page.
We may moderate your changes before they go live, so if you don't see the page updated immediately, check back in a day. Thanks for helping out! We really appreciate it!
